Every tour, one standard

Private, golden-hour, and built around the light

Each China Photography Tour is a small-group, English-guided journey led by a local master photographer. We plan every day around the best light — sunrise, blue hour and the long shadows of late afternoon — and we never rush a frame.

Pick one region for a deep dive, or let us stitch several into a custom multi-destination route. Every tour includes transport, hand-picked accommodation, location permits where needed, and on-location coaching for any skill level.

Signature tour

8-Day Guilin, Yangshuo, Longsheng & Sanjiang

Our flagship journey — the most complete karst photography route in southern China, from Xianggong Hill at dawn to the wind-rain bridges of Sanjiang.

Sunrise at Xianggong and Cuiping, blue-hour cormorant fishermen, Yangshuo's limestone backroads, the layered Longji terraces and the Dong villages of Sanjiang. A balanced rhythm of iconic frames and quiet, uncrowded light.

When to travel

A season for every region

China spans the tropics to the Himalayas — there is always somewhere in peak light.

Spring

Mar–May. Guilin's rivers swell with mist, Yunnan terraces flood with reflection water, and Guizhou's terraces turn emerald.

Summer

Jun–Aug. Longsheng and Yuanyang terraces at their greenest; Tibet's clears skies and open passes; Xiapu's dramatic fog.

Autumn

Sep–Nov. The headline season — Xinjiang's Kanas glows gold, Yunnan's red earth contrasts, and Beijing's light is crisp.

Winter

Dec–Feb. Snow on the Great Wall, still Tibetan light, and the quietest crowds of the year across every region.
