Arrival in Guilin & Lishui River dusk
Your photographer-guide meets you at Guilin Liangjiang Airport or the high-speed rail station with a name board. A 40-minute transfer drops you at a centrally located hotel a short walk from the Lishui riverbank, so we can be shooting the same evening if your flight is on time.
This first session is deliberately gentle. The karst hills that ring the city catch the last warm light and double in the water; by blue hour the bridges and towers switch on and the river turns into coloured sheets of reflection. It is the moment to calibrate exposure and long-exposure technique before the pre-dawn starts begin.
- 16:30 — Hotel check-in & gear check — tripod, filters, spare cards
- 17:15–18:40 — Lishui riverbank & Fubo Hill bend: karst skyline in warm side light (f/8, 1/125s)
- 18:40–19:40 — Blue-hour city reflections (ISO 100, f/11, 8–20s, tripod + remote)
